Definitions and sources
- Source: Observatoire des finances et de la gestion publique locales (OFGL), from the accounts of the Public Finance Directorate (DGFiP), Licence Ouverte 2.0.
- Gross savings = operating revenue − operating expenditure. It finances investment and the repayment of debt.
- Debt repayment capacity = outstanding debt / gross savings: the number of years needed to repay all debt if all savings were used for it. Above about 12 years, it is generally considered a warning sign.
- Per inhabitant: total population (INSEE) of the year. Similar towns: median of Var towns in the same population band.
- Figures for the last year may be revised by the OFGL.
